About Us

Our History

The Medicenter of Edison has been a staple of the community for over 25 years. We are a walk-in, no appointment needed, urgent care medical facility centrally located at 1813 Oak Tree Road in North Edison. We are a “mini ER” without the wait, aggravation and expense. Originally a privately owned, “cash only,” satellite facility for Muhlenberg Hospital, Medicenter of Edison has now evolved into a nationally certified Urgent Care facility. The facility treats patients of all ages for a wide variety of health issues and we accept Medicare and most major insurance plans. We offer a safe, clean, wheelchair accessible medical facility, fully equipped to serve all your urgent care needs. Most recently, we proudly announced our Director, Dr. Gurvindra Johal, has been certified by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to perform the I-693 immigration physical. Our physicians and staff are highly trained and certified with over 100 years of combined experience.

Our Mission

We are here to serve the community’s health needs. Our goal is to bring kindness, compassion, and professionalism to your treatment so you can be comfortable, at ease and enjoy your trip to the doctors.

Our Team

Alicia Cupo, Office Manager

I’ve been with the Medicenter for over thirteen years. I truly enjoy my work, being part of the Medicenter team and witnessing the practice’s growth. It’s a pleasure to know our patients and their families. We serve two and three generations of families and have watched many of our young patients grow into adulthood. It’s been a rewarding experience serving our patients and the community.

Kit Moulton, RN

I started at Medicenter in 1999 after I retired from school nursing. The plan was to work 3 years, but the staff was so welcoming and it’s been now 14 years. I totally enjoy my job. I’ve never worked with more caring individuals. Our patients trust us and we enjoy helping them stay healthy.

Gersel Taveras, MA, Ideal Protein Counselor

I’ve worked in many different industries, but nothing feels like home quite like the Medicenter. I started here in 2009 just working as the receptionist on Sundays and per diem as medical assistant, but as the practice grew and became more tech savvy, I became more involved in the practice and my job has become my home. It’s always good to know that you can find a friend in the Medicenter.
